What races do you think Brian France actually attends?

You hear drivers say they would like to see him at the track more and the media even says it so what races do you think he actually shows up at?
My guess is
Both Daytona races, any race in Vegas, Sonoma (for the wine), Watkins Glen (new York area baby), 1 Dover race ( for horse racing) , Kansas (casinos), Fontana (hits up L.A. night life), one Texas race,Charlotte ( home track),Indy( to build up hype) Richmond(when it was the cutoff), Homestead

Can Missing the Daytona 500 Wreck Your Season? I Went Through The Stats...

Can missing the Daytona 500 wreck your season? I went through some stats to see what general is the season to come ahead if you miss the Daytona 500.
I went through the list for the last 25 years (1997-2020) on drivers that went full time with fully or mostly backed teams that were attempting to make the full 36 or so races that year. Going through wins, Top 5’s, Top 10’s, Laps lead, Poles, DNF’s, DNQ’s, Average Finish, Average Start, Best Finish, and Points Result.
Those included are drivers who announced they would race full time at the beginning of their respective seasons and drivers who would not start and park mostly.

1997 - Chad Little - (#97 John Deere - PPC Racing/Roush Racing)
1997 - Joe Nemechek (#42 BellSouth - Team Sabco)
So what does this mean, namely for Ryan Preece who was announced they will not be a chartered team for 2021? If they miss the Daytona 500? They have a rough road to make it into the Chase at least. The best season a car recovered from missing Daytona was Scott Riggs in 2006 when he came back to finish 19th in the Points, other decent rebound of seasons include Johnny Benson's 1998 campaign, Jimmy Spencer's 2002 campaign and Joe Nemechek's 1997 season where they were all over the Top 25. That is about it. The rest had disasterous or feast or famine seasons like Brian Vickers 2007 season. A lot of the time, the driver was fired mid season after missing many races. Preece is around a 25th place team usually so he should be around that benchmark IF he makes it, but if not, it would be disasterious.

The Fall were a group from Manchester founded by the enigmatic Mark E. Smith in 1976, after seeing the Sex Pistols at the Lesser Free Trade Hall. The group would go on to influence many bands over it's 40+ years of existence, such as Pavement and LCD Soundsystem. (Click link for write up on band)

The Fall was founded by one Mark E. Smith back in 1976, after seeing the Sex Pistols at the Lesser Free Trade Hall (The same gig attended by Ian Curtis and Peter Hook of Joy Division, Morrissey of the Smiths, and Tony Wilson, who founded the highly influential indie label Factory Records. Basically, Mark was at one of the more important gigs of the past 50 years, as this gig inspired all of those previously mentioned to either start bands or get involved in the punk scene, and changing the course of British indie music.). Over their 40+ years of operation, the band had Mark E. Smith at its helm as the sole constant member throughout it's existence. The band would become known for its classic assortment of records, with the tight musicianship by members such as guitarist Craig Scanlon and drummer Karl Burns (shown in the beginning of this clip from MTV's Cutting Edge) and Mark's esoteric lyricism, the witty, while often-times volatile and difficult, personality of Mark E. Smith, and the constant changing lineup of its members as a result of Mark's volatility. They would also remain to be the favorite band of legendary DJ John Peel, with the band holding the record of the most Peel sessions by a band, which is 24 sessions. The Fall would ultimately come to an end with the untimely death of Mark E. Smith in 2018 due to kidney and lung cancer.
The Fall are a significant band in the history of Post Punk, with a wide catalog of music to listen to released throughout the different eras of the band. I have decided to make a write-up going through the many eras of the Fall, while giving some recommendations from each era to start you off.
(1976 - early 1979 - Early Beginnings: The Martin Bramah Era)
during these years, the Fall were just getting their start with their sound. Their early material leans more towards the punk side of the sword rather than the post punk of their later years, but the embryo of the Fall's sound is clearly present. This can possibly be attributed to the guitar style of Martin Bramah in their early releases, which has a high pitched and trebly sound to the guitars. Their first recorded released came on a live album on the last day of operation for the Electric Circus, then they released their debut EP Bingo Master's Breakout then a single called It's The New Thing all in 1978. They finally released their debut album Live at the Witch Trials in March 1979 before Martin Bramah left in April 1979 due to increasing tensions with Mark E. Smith. He would then go on to found a band by the name of Blue Orchids with another former Fall member Una Baines, who he was dating at the time. Martin would prove to not be the only member to leave because of Mark's controlling demeanor in the band's future.
Here's some tracks to introduce you to this era's punky edge:

It's The New Thing

(mid 1979 - 1982 - The First Golden era: the Marc Riley Era)
I'm calling this the Marc Riley era because, even though Marc Riley was a part of the Bramah era, after Martin Bramah left, Riley would become the main guitarist instead of his previous role as bassist. This would open the door for members like Craig Scanlon to join on rhythm guitar and Steve Hanley on bass. This would end up transforming the sound of the band into the post-punk sound most people are familiar with the band. After releasing Rowche Rumble and the album Dragnet in 1979, the band would end up releasing a string of classic singles in 1980, such as Fiery Jack, How I Wrote Elastic Man, and probably their most well-known song, Totally Wired, as well as releasing the great album Grotesque (After the Gramme). 1981 would also prove to be a good year, with the release of the single Lie Dream of a Casino Soul and the 10-inch EP Slates. The band would end up travelling to Iceland for a string of gigs, which would lead to the recording of some songs for probably their best album Hex Enduction Hour, with tracks like Hip Priest and The Classical displaying the Fall's power in full force. The band would also released the album Room To Live and the single Look, Know. However, this year would prove to be the last with Marc Riley on lead guitar. After learning of their chart success in New Zealand (which was about 300 copies sold to get in the top 20), the band travelled there to play a few gigs in Australia and New Zealand. While there, increasing tensions between Smith and Riley came to a head in Australia when Riley punched Smith in the face for slapping the band for dancing to the Clash (yes, really). There is even a television interview where Mark's black eye is visible (even with heavy makeup). This tour would end up being released as a live album by the legendary New Zealand label Flying Nun Records as the album Fall in a Hole in 1983 (Which Smith would eventually threaten legal action for and forced Flying Nun to pay all of the revenue from the record, effectively almost killing Flying Nun in its infancy). Marc would end up being sacked by the end of the year. This left a hole to be filled for the lead guitar role, and that would be filled after a trip to America.

(1983 - 1989 - The Second Golden era: The Brix Smith Era)
The band would soldier on without Marc Riley into 1983, with Craig Scanlon taking his place on lead guitar. This period would lead to the release of singles like The Man Whose Head Expanded and the Kicker Conspiracy EP. During the Fall's first American tour without Marc Riley, Mark E Smith was introduced to Brix Smith after a gig in Chicago in April. Within three months, Brix would move to England and end up marrying Mark. She would eventually join the band in September of that year and would first appear on their album Perverted by Language, albeit with minimal involvement and only appearing on one track. Her introduction to the band would end up bringing a pop sensibility to the band, as she would eventually become a major songwriting contributor along with Mark and she would try and push the Fall into a more commercially viable direction.
This period would lead to some of the band's most critically acclaimed,as well as their most commerically successful, material. early singles like C.R.E.E.P and Oh! Brother in 1984 display the early shift into the pop sphere for the band. The band would also release the album The Wonderful and Frightening World Of in 1984. By 1985, the band were starting to hit their stride in the commercial sphere, with singles like Cruiser's Creek and Couldn't Get Ahead appearing in the singles charts and the great album This Nation's Saving Grace receiving critical acclaim and decent sales. The band would continue to release increasingly pop-oriented records between 1986-1987, with singles like Mr. Pharmacist, Hit the North and Hey! Luciani reaching the lower ends of the charts, There's a Ghost In My House giving the band their highest singles chart peak, and the album Bend Sinister reaching the Top 40. However, 1988 would prove to be a banner year for the band, with the album The Frenz Experiment reaching the top 20, and the single of the Kinks song Victoria also reaching the top 40. However, this era would eventually come to an end in 1989, when Mark E Smith and Brix Smith ended up divorcing and Brix left the band. Her last record in this era would prove to be the album I am Kurious Oranj, a collaboration with the Michael Clark dance group. However, the trajectory that Brix set the band upon would let their success continue into the 90s, With the band eventually reaching their peak in commercial popularity. However, not all good things are meant to last.

(1990 - 1994 - The Peak, followed by the Fall: The Major Label years)
After Brix left the band, Martin Bramah was brought back into the fold to fill in her place, and would be featured on the album Extricate, which led to songs like Telephone Thing, which shows influence from the Madchester scene of that time period, which included the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays, and the love song Bill is Dead, which possibly reflects upon his divorce the previous year. However, Martin Bramah would not be staying for long, as he would end up being kicked out of the band that same year for having a relationship with the keyboardist. This album marked the period when the band would be featured on a major label, with the band being signed to Fontana. The Fall would continue on to have success during this period, with the aforementioned Extricate reaching the top 40, albums like Shift-Work and Code: Selfish reaching the top 30, and singles like White Lightning and Free Range reaching in the single charts, with Free Range being the bands last top 40 single. Their commercial peak would come with the album The Infotainment Scan, which contained a cover of Lost in Music by Sister Sledge, giving the Fall their first and only top 10 hit album. Mark would also be featured on a top 20 single, which was I Want You by the Inspiral Carpets. However, Mark E. Smith's speed and alcohol addiction, which persisted over the previous decade, started to take its toll. The bands fortunes started to dwindle with the album Middle Class Revolt, Which only reach number 48 in the charts, a far cry from their previous Top 10 success. With this album, the Fall would begin to go downhill, both in their commercial performance and their critical stature.

(1995-1998 - The Low Point: The Brownies Years)
By this point, Mark E. Smith begins to go downhill with the previously mentioned drug and alcohol addiction, and its effect on the music shows. Brix Smith returns around this time period and would come back on the album Cerebral Caustic. Even with her involvement in the band, the album got middling reviews and performed worse than Middle Class Revolt. Smith would also dismiss the long time guitarist Craig Scanlon, who had co-written 120 songs with Smith over the previous 16 years. Smith would later say that he regretted this decision. By the time of The Light User Syndrome, Brix had enough of Mark E. Smith's degrading state and behavior due to alcohol abuse, and would leave on the tour supporting this album. This period would be wrought with increasing tensions in the band and financial troubles, which ultimately came to a head on the US tour supporting the album Levitate at an infamous gig at the New York venue Brownies in April of 1998. Smith ended up appearing drunk at the gig, and did everything in his power to make it hard for the band to play. It came to a head when drummer Karl Burns, who returned to the band when Middle Class Revolt was made, ended up shoving Smith for messing with his drum kit. Burns and long-time/essential bassist Steve Hanley would end up leaving the band and never returning. After this gig, the next few years are marked with the band remaining a low profile for the most part, where would eventually return to form by 2003.
Here's some tracks to check out (if you want to) from this era:
Don't Call me Darling
Rainmaster
D.I.Y Meat
The Chiselers
Powder Keg
Masquerade
(1998 - 2002 - Touch Sensitive: The Long Lull)
During this period of the Fall, the band was just starting to be put back together by Mark after the debacle that was the Brownies gig. The band was able to achieve some form of critical favor with their album The Marshall Suite in 1999, with Touch Sensitive being a particular standout on the album and being featured in a Volkswagen commercial. The band would then release their album The Unutterable, which also started to gain the critic's favor back. The next album Are You Are Missing Winner, however, didn't do the band any favors, as it was recorded when the band was tight on funds. It was considered a misstep by the Fall after the acclaim that the last album received. However, this would ultimately lead to the start of a new era of the fall that would effectively renew their relevance as a band in the public's eye.
Here's some tracks to check out from this transitional period of the bands history:
Touch Sensitive
W.B
Sons of Temperance
Dr. Bucks Letter
Bourgeois Town
(2003 - 2009 - A return to grace: The Third Golden Age)
This era of the fall proved to be a rebirthing of the band's relevance and quality, with Mark writing some of the best material the band had in years. This era starts with the album The Real New Fall LP (Formerly Country on the Click) in 2003, which provided the band with some late era classics, such as Mountain Energei and Theme From Sparta F.C. Around this period, the DJ John Peel, who was one of the band's biggest supporters from the beginning, died of a heart attack, but not before the Fall could release one more Peel session a couple months before his death. The Fall would then release Fall Heads Roll in 2005, which also provided the band with another late-era classic in the form of Blindness. The band would also release albums like Reformation Post TLC and Imperial Wax Solvent within the same period. Imperial Wax Solvent would end up being the first Fall album in 15 years to reach the top 40. This would lead into the final era of the Fall leading up to Mark E. Smith's untimely death.
Here's some tracks to check out from this era:
Mountain Energei
Theme From Sparta F.C.
Blindness
Clasp Hands
Fall Sound
Latchkey Kid
Is This New
Strange Town
(2010 - 2018 - The Witching Hour: The Domino and Cherry Red/final years)
In 2010, the Fall would release Your Future Our Clutter on Domino Records, the same label that releases records by the Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand, Two bands heavily influenced by the Fall. Mark E. Smith would also end up recording vocals for Glitter Freeze on the Gorillaz album Plastic Beach, which was released in 2010. The band would eventually move to Cherry Red records, which would remain the label of the band until its dissolution. On Cherry Red, the Fall would release album such as Ersatz GB, Re-Mit, Sub-Lingual Tablet, and New Facts Emerge. The latter album would prove to be the band's last record. Over this period, Mark began to develop significant health problems, and would eventually be diagnosed with terminal lung and kidney cancer. This is probably due to the fact that Mark E. Smith was a heavy smoker for most of his life, and his previous problems with drugs and alcohol didn't help either. Mark would perform his final gig with the Fall in November of 2017, and would eventually succumb to his illnesses on January 24th, 2018. Mark E. Smith would leave behind a long history of innovation, wit, and volatility and large catalog of great music for others to be inspired by.
Here's some tracks to check out from the final era of the Fall:
Bury Pts. 2 + 4
Nate Will Not Return
Loadstones
Fibre Book Troll
New Facts Emerge
(Final Remarks)
So that's my write-up for the Fall. I discovered this band about 3-4 years ago and I have fallen in love with them ever since, and I just felt like that they deserved some attention. I wrote this post for anyone who may be interested in checking out the band and giving them a place to start from no matter the era. May Mark E. Smith rest in peace, for he wrote "Northern white crap that talks back" and dug repetition.
P.S: For any fans of the fall, what is your favorite album/song by the fall and why?
If you want to, you can come check out my subreddit Collectionhauls, where I've been posting vinyl finds I've had at the flea market, and have been posting music to check out since March. If you want, you can come post something from your collections to show to others. Anyway, goodbye and I hope you enjoyed my post and possibly enjoy the Fall even more.

I personally believe that the Fall, while revered in Post-Punk circles and UK indie music, I feel that they are still highly underappreciated in popular music. I feel that they should have been on the same level as the Cure or Joy Division in their cultural significance to music in general. However, what we do have from the Fall is great and I can say that I love them dearly.
For any fans of the fall, what is your opinion on the significance of the Fall to popular music? What do you find to be your favorite aspect of the Fall's music?

The Hell's Angels motorcycle club is a biker gang established in Fontana, CA in 1948 and is also a international gang with a couple thousand members and many chapters.
The Laughlin river run is a annual motorcycle rally held in Laughlin Nevada.
On the night of April 27, 2002 a group of 35 HA members left the Flamingo casino and head to Harrah's casino. The two casinos are usually the casinos used by the gangs when they attend the rally. Based on rumors that members of Mongols had been harassing a vender selling HA merch at the rally. At 2 am they see 40 members in Rosa's Cantina. They approach and a conversation between the groups start. During the interaction a member asks HA who was in charge in the group, Raymond Foakes, a HA member lands a running fly kick on a Mongols member. A massive brawl breaks out and weapons are pulled. In the commotion a shot is fired followed by a following shot by a member of the Metropolitan Police Department.
2 HA members, 27 year old Jeramie Bell and 50 year old Robert Tumelty are shot to death. 43 year old Anthony Barrera, a Mongols member was stabbed to death. Dozens are injured and 50 guns and knives are confiscated. After the brawl both gangs left Laughlin back to California. On interstate 40 near the small town of Ludlow, CA Christian Tate, a 28 year old HA member was riding back when a vehicle with suspected rivals drives up and opens fire hitting him multiple times and knocking him off his motorcycle. When police arrive to the scene they find his motorcycle crashed and Christian laying dead, having been shot in the back and chest.
12 members, 6 from each gang are charged in the brawl and murders at the casino. The Mongol members are each sentenced with terms between 12-60 months with the harshest being 2 to 5 years. The HA members are sentenced with terms between 8.5 years, 2 years, and the rest 12 to 30 months. 36 HA members were under investigation but never charged in the brawl. The murder of Christian Tate remains unsolved. He was later taken home to Santa Maria where he was raised and buried. The war between the two gangs was already going on before but this incident remains a major incident for both gangs.

Last Orders
Bingo Master's Breakout EP (The entire EP's good to check out)
It's The New Thing
Rebellious Jukebox
Futures and Pasts
Mother-Sister
Here's some tracks to check out to introduce you to the classic Fall sound:
Rowche Rumble
How I Wrote Elastic Man
Totally Wired
New Face in Hell
Prole Art Threat
Lie Dream of a Casino Soul
Hip Priest
The Classical (N-Word Warning)
Iceland
Winter
Marquis Cha-Cha
Here's some songs to check out to introduce you to this era's pop-leaning sound:
The Man Whose Head Expanded
Kicker Conspiracy
Eat Y'self Fitter
C.R.E.E.P
2 X 4
Cruiser's Creek
No Bulbs
Spoilt Victorian Child
My New House
I am Damo Suzuki
Shoulder Pads #1
Mr. Pharmacist
Hey! Luciani
There's a Ghost in my House
Hit The North
Victoria
Big New Prinz
Dead Beat Descendant
Here's some songs to check out from this banner period for the Fall:
Telephone Thing
I'm Frank
Bill is Dead
Edinburgh Man
Free Range
Lost in Music
Hey! Student
15 Ways
(1995-1998 - The Low Point: The Brownies Years)
By this point, Mark E. Smith begins to go downhill with the previously mentioned drug and alcohol addiction, and its effect on the music shows. Brix Smith returns around this time period and would come back on the album Cerebral Caustic. Even with her involvement in the band, the album got middling reviews and performed worse than Middle Class Revolt. Smith would also dismiss the long time guitarist Craig Scanlon, who had co-written 120 songs with Smith over the previous 16 years. Smith would later say that he regretted this decision.

Ghost Adventures Episodes in Chronological Order

Unfortunately there's no 100% agreed list of GA seasons and there never was one. Various platforms and Travel Channel affiliates provide contradictory episode listings. It was discussed numerous times over the years, recently we had yet another discussion on the matter. Somebody asked me on PM if I can share with them the chronological listing I've been using, so I've decided to post it here as well. Keep in mind this is not an "official" list, but it's a recommended one if you want to binge watch the whole show from beginning to end or if you're a new fan looking for specific episodes.
This is a list of Ghost Adventures episodes in order based on the original air date. I've been keeping it since I began watching the show during the first season and it mostly overlaps with the wikipedia listing, and a few other season lists. It includes every single episode, including all specials and compilation episodes. "Extra Pulses" are not added since there is no additional content compared to the original episodes. For the first 7 or so seasons this is how The Travel Channel listed their seasons before they nuked their site and started grouping them by production date and not air date. A few things of note:

Behind The Music: Oga's Casino

If you're a person who loves believing the magic, skip this article. I respect you, but I'm not one of you.
If you're fascinated by who on Earth actually creates songs in the voices of jawas and droids, here's all the information I've been able to track down on the artists behind the Oga's Cantina playlist.

Here's an interview with the directors who put together the music project, which outlines the general strategy. And here's a track by track look at the people who create the music:

1) Mad About Mad About Me - R3X, featuring Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes
This is a dance remix of the 1977 John Williams original.

2) Turbulence - Mus Kat & Nalpak
3) Bright Suns - Mus Kat & Nalpak
16) Doshka - Mus Kat & Nalpak
Mus Kat & Nalpak is a play on the last names of the composers, percussionist Tamir Muskat (professional site) and saxophonist Ori Kaplan. Both grew up in Israel and now work in Brooklyn. The duo founded Balkan Beat Box (official site) a world music fusion band with heavy klezmer and punk influences.
Here is an audio interview with the duo, with samples of their music. What they do doesn't take much alteration to fit in Batuu. If you want more music like the music in Oga's Cantina, definitely seek out Balkan Beat Box.

4) Nama Heh - Laki Lembeng
Created by Francis Ralls, who made his name doing TV show music, including Dancing With The Stars and NBC’s NFL broadcasts. He did the music for the Color Fest Street Parade at Disneyland Shanghai, which lead to the Oga’s Casino gig.

5) Oola Shuka - Gaya
This is by Judith Hill (official site) a Grammy winner for best music film. She was a backing vocalist for Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, and her first solo album was produced by Prince.

6) Beep Boop Bop - Duro Droids
Composed by Melissa Atwell, a Disney regular. She has worked on projects for every Disney Park, and has also done work for AT&T, Lockheed Martin, the Orlando Magic, Sesame Street, and Six Flags.

7) Aloogahoo - Vee Gooda & Ryco
The band name is a play on the names of the composers, Ryan O’Connell and Valerie Vigoda (official site).
Vigoda is a singer, electric violin player, and composer. She is a founder of GrooveLily, and has toured with Cyndy Lauper and Joe Jackson. She has written a number of musicals with usual collaborator and now husband Brendan Milburn.
She and Ryan O’Connell (Facebook page) probably met when she was starring in Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, where O’Connell was music director?

8) Bai Tee Tee - Junee Veech, featuring Gubz
Adam Gubman is primarily a composer for video games, having scored over 600 titles. He has also done a good number of commercials, a few movies, and he is a regular composer for Disney Park events. His company is Moonwalk Audio.

9) Modal Notes - Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes
10) Una Duey Dee - Kra Mer 5
Both songs are by Michael Krämer. The former is done in the style of the original cantina band, so is “by” Figrin D’an. The latter band is a play on his last name. Kramer was inspired to become a composer by Jurassic Park, and went on to score Lego Star Wars, so is deeply familiar with John Williams’ work.
This is a neat interview with him.

11) Goola Bukee - Zano, featuring YS-5755
12) Droid World - Sentient 7 and the Clankers
The first track is Zain Effendi and Tyler Martens, the second is Zain Effendi and Dylan Lane. Effendi worked on the team that did the music for Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 and a number of other high-profile movies, then went solo and has been working on smaller projects.

13) Utinni - The Dusty Jawas
Yossi Cohen & Avishay Goren
Yossi Cohen is a Brooklyn-based Lubavitcher keyboardist and singer. Avishay Goren seems primarily a composer of commercials. The pair did "Movement is Happiness (Find Your Thing)” for Just Dance 2015.
Here is an interesting article about Yossi Cohen’s day (night?) job, and footage of him playing at a wedding. He is another artist whose work pretty much fits in Batuu as is.

14) Batuu Boogie - Chaka Mater Laka, featuring MW-59
Jason Mater is another regular, currently employed by Disney. The band name is his name spliced into the sounds in the song. He recently cowrote a country hit with Sam Grow called Nobody’s You.

15) Moulee-Rah - Fytee, featuring RB Snootles
17) Huttuk Cheeka - Elem Zadowz
18) Yocola Ateema - Fytee & The Sleemos
These three are all by Dan Fontana & Roger Butterley. Dan Fontana is the founder of Ty Fy Studios, an industrial music shop in Orlando, which has done a lot of work for Disney. Butterley (Facebook page) is a Disney employee.

Garth the Smuggler of Zaun [Champion Concept League of Legends](Eng-Ita)

Garth the Smuggler of Zaun [Champion Concept League of Legends](Eng-Ita)

https://preview.redd.it/g6obr47twtr41.jpg?width=2480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b1fb4574b88e8617b43266bd1ab2092d1bd3c92
Greetings Summoners. The original idea was that this champion was going to be a demacian. Like a merchant or something that represent the criminal side of Demacia. But after talking to my brother i decide to move him to Zaun. Its okay because Zaun, like Demacia, dont have a support champ. (i know there is Janna, but does she even look from Zaun?)

Lore
Despite taking life a little too jokingly, Garth and his "company" have earned the title of the best smugglers in the whole Zaun. To him every assignment is sacred, it doesnt matter what kind of load it is, whether precious materials or dangerous technologies or people.
At the right price Garth will also deliver the rarest artifact in the world and you can feel comfortable that everything will come at destination (barring unexpected contingencies)
This way of doing buisness so unusually honest has made him the most coveted smuggler, especially for deliveries between the two cities. He knows many secondary roads and his network of knowledge allows him to pass areas guarded by Piltoverian law enforcement (at the right price obviously). Rarely he works exclusively for himself, to avoid entering into competition with people a little too high-ranking but even this is not enough to keep him safe. For example, the Chemical Baron of the sector 345b hired him for a delivery of weapons to the sector 18 but this went against the interests of another Baron who had intercepted the delivery with a team of henchmen. The result was a gunfight that killed 5 of his cronies but thanks to the knowledge of the area and a fair amount of skill, Garth managed to win the fight.
The risks do not fall even when smuggled to Piltover. Several times over the years he lost loads due to the intervention of the Caitlyn-Vi duo. But Garth does not hold a grudge against anyone, after all, as he does a job, they do the same.
Or so he thought a few years ago.
One day, after making a lavish delivery, Garth and part of his band had gone to celebrate in one of their shelters scattered around Zaun. During the party, with the alcohol flowing in rivers and beautiful barely covered chicks entertained the group, came on the scene that "bitch with legs shears and the smell under the nose" cit.
Camille, with shots and twists that made her look like a damn dancer, eliminated all the men present in less than a minute. Garth tried to defend himself but the alcohol that flowed in his blood did not help him. He managed to shoot a few bullets but she, with a single stroke, cut off his left arm and slashed him deeply into his face, from under his jaw to the hairline.
She abandoned him on the floor, given for dead, but fortunately, after a few minutes came other members of the gang who took Garth to safety. When he recovered he paid handsomely some "doctors" who implanted Chemtech prosthesis in place of everything he had lost: An arm, part of the jaw and a new eye.
Since then, Garth uses part of the payments received to pay spies and informers who wander between the two cities in search of the Camille refuge, to repay her with the same coin.

Role: Support Utility
Weapon: Revolver 45. Chemtec

Abilities
Passive- Discounts to friends/ Black list.
Garth's customers apply discounts to him for all well-executed jobs, including his companions. Each item will be slightly discounted based on Garth level.
Lvl 3- 50g
Lvl 6- 100g
Lvl 11- 150g
Lvl 15-200g
Black List
Garth's AA and abilities apply "Garth's Black List" to every enemy hit. As long as the stack is active, the store will sell you items at a higher price. If you buy an item permanently, Garth will receive the amount of gold you paid in addition in the form of a pile of gears near the fountain and will have a different name and shape depending on the amount of gold present (Toothed - gold toothed gears. Helic -Silver Helical Gears. Screws-Simple copper screws. I did not investigate but I read that comic "Ziggs + Jinx" I saw that they use gears as a coin. This is my personal expansion of their coin types ).
Stack and effect duration. (They increase based on Garth's lvl and the countdown does not continue if you're dead).
lvl 6- 20 sec +50g
lvl 6+ 30 sec +75g
lvl 11+ 45sec +100g
lvl 15+ 60sec +200g
In case you bought the item permanently, you will hear the voice of Garth say "Thanks, dummy! AHAHAHAH!". (So pay attention). Garth instead, will hear the sound of tinkling coins.
Q- Irresistible Brible. (range 950)
Garth throws a puch full of money in a target direction. The first hit target is stunned for 1 / 1.5 / 2 seconds. Do not cross the minions.
Upgrade "Where i put the big pouch?"
Increasing the range to 1025. Now the projectile can stun multiple targets within an area of 120 from the first hit target or impact location.
"Permits? Of course I have them! Look! They're inside this pouch, written on small golden metal disks .... All in order? Great ...."
W- Portable Protection (target range 700)
Garth deploys on the ground or on an allied champion, in a target direction in 0,5 sec, a cover with 2/3/4 PV. All ranged AA and projectiles of skills break on the cover by removing 1 LP. The wall counts as an obstacle so it must be bypassed but you can dash through it. The wall can be bypassed from the inside by each champion. Behind the cover each allied champion receives a light buff of armor and magic resistance.
Upgrade
The new hooks block the movements of the opponent who tries to overcome it, immobilizing him for 0.5 sec (this effect does not vanish at the next attempt). Reforged with a more resilient yet lightweight metal alloy, it improves the casting range to 850 and gives 1 additional PV.
"This thing weighs a lot and smothers me with maintenance costs, but for all the muddy channels of Zaun, it's worth it ... "
E- Tripping Trap (range 800)
Garth deploys a T.a.I in a target direction. After 0.6 seconds the trap is activated with an area effect of 45 units. The first enemy that passes through it is magically damaged and remains immobilized for 1 / 1.5 / 2 seconds. If more opponents pass through it only one is immobilized while others slow down. The trap remains for 5 seconds, can not be hit and is not activated by minions.
Upgrade "I buy another clip hook and better explosive. Bright idea, isnt it?"
Garth can carry 2 traps and damage increase.
"You have no idea how many times I' ve survived the opposing numerical superiority thanks to these little ones."
R- Call the boys (effect radius 1000. Angle 35)
After a whistle Garth deploys his gang that creates a strong suppression fire with their Chemtech weapons for 3 seconds in a target direction, inflicting damage and slowing down the enemy of X / Y / Z. In addition, enemy Champions dashing against the fire direction are stunned for 0.5 sec.
Upgrade
The thugs have received more powerful weapons and larger magazines. Increases the duration of fire by 1.5 and increase the stun effect of 0,5 sec.
"What, what? You want to postpone the payment because at the moment you dont have any teeth?(understood as coins) Guys! We have a problem ..."
Passive- Who's on guard?
Wow! Less towers means less controls. Less checks means more successful deliveries! For each tower destroyed by the team, Garth receives a stack of "Easy Money". Every 2 stacks Garth can upgrade one of his skills wherever he is, as long as he's out of the fight and after a small animation of 1 sec, where you see him signing a check. You can upgrade skills from lvl 6, the R will be upgradable after the first upgrade.

ITA
Saluti evocatori.

O almeno così pensava fino a qualche anno fa.

Arma: Revolver 45 Chemtech (550 portata)
Abilità
Passiva- Sconti agli amici/Lista nera

"I permessi? Certo che li ho! Guarda! Sono dentro questo sacchetto, scritti su piccoli dischetti metallici dorati.... Tutto in ordine? Ottimo...."
Bell'idea no?"
R- Chiamate i ragazzi (raggio d'effetto 1000. Angolo 35)

Police raid underground Chinese coronavirus hospital catering to Chinese nationals in a resort in the Philippines

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 61%. (I'm a bot)
PAMPANGA, Philippines - The Fontana Leisure Park inside the Clark Freeport Zone here was placed under "Full lockdown" on Tuesday, May 19, after the discovery of an illegal makeshift hospital for Chinese citizens suspected of infection with the coronavirus.
In a statement emailed by Clark Development Corporation to Rappler on Wednesday morning, May 20, the state-owned firm said the "Makeshift medical facility for Chinese patients" was inside a villa at Fontana Leisure Park.
"As a result, Clark officials have ordered the closure and full lockdown of Fontana Leisure Park inside the Clark Freeport following the raid. This illegal activity not only violates the law, but also poses danger to individuals who potentially need medical treatment for the deadly disease. CDC does not and will never tolerate this inside the Clark Freeport," CDC said.
The raid was conducted just days after Pampanga transitioned into modified enhanced community quarantine, after two months under ECQ. It was not the first time that Fontana figured in a controversy.
In December 2016, the resort's casino was shut down following the arrest of 1,240 illegal Chinese workers inside the leisure park in a Bureau of Immigration operation.
Fontana is owned by Macau gaming tycoon Jack Lam, who was in the Philippine spotlight in December 2016 when two Bureau of Immigration officials were accused of extorting P50 million from him for the release of the detained Chinese casino workers.

[YP Release Thread] Baccano! Vol. 12 "2002 [Side A]: Bullet Garden" is out via Yen Press!

That is, release day was on December 24, 2019. Sorry this post is a bit belated; life, you know.
Relevant Wiki Poll: For those of you who use the wiki... Once upon the time the wiki used to have one article for each cruise ship (Entrance and Exit) in this arc; now, however, it currently has one (underdeveloped) article on both ships. Do you think it would be more useful to have one article per ship, or is having one article on both ships sufficient?
I've set up a twitter poll on the Baccano! Wiki's Twitter account here, so please do vote in the poll if you're on Twitter! If you're not on Twitter, lemme know in a comment? Thanks!
Yen Press webpage: Hardcover | Digital
Where to buy: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Rightstuf | BookWalker | iBooks | Kobo | and more... Check out the Yen Press webpages for more retailer links.
This is a megathread for this release. Any questions, discussion starters, live reactions (good and ill), etc. pertaining to it are very welcome in the comments below!
I'll be sharing my Release Notes in this text post as usual; for those new to the subreddit, my Release Notes typically include:
Some guidelines: When commenting in this thread, please spoiler tag anything referencing future, yet-to-be-officially-translated volumes. Automatically assume there are people here who have only read up to the official release.

Release Notes

Official Spellings

Character Names/Nicknames

  • Jacuzzi's great-grandson is Bobby Splot, and Bobby has nicknamed his friends Tall, Humpty, and Troy.
  • Carnea is spelled as is; we'll have to wait for Vol 13 for surname spelling.
  • The siblings' names are once again Claudia and Charon. Claudia has nicknamed the animatronic shark Sharkey.
    • 'Once again' in that they were mentioned by name in Durarara!!x8, which YP has translated.
  • The filmmaker's name is confirmed John Drox.
    • This is also the spelling used in Durarara!!x4.
  • The four great weapons are called the Four Afflictions at one point and consist of Illness, Aging, Life, and Death.
  • The drug cartel's sniper is Angelo; Angelo is occasionally dubbed 'Gunslinger' by other characters. Meanwhile the freelancing demolisher he works with is alternatively referred to as the demolition specialist and demolition guy.
  • Angelo's son's name is confirmed Carlos.
    • This Carlos is likely the same Carlos who serves as a member of Etsusa Bridge's cast. Carlos actually predates Angelo, since his debut novel came out in 2004 whereas Baccano! Vol 12 was published in 2007.
  • The two mercenaries who obtain Charon's autograph are Kevin and Baum.
  • The group they work for, the Mask Makers, are also referred to as the 'businessmen' in the narrative.
  • The divorced couple's names are confirmed Misao and Hiroko.
  • The captain of the Entrance has his named spelled Folk Connor.
    • I believe the F.T. version of his name was Falk Corner.
  • The mastermind refers to themself as Copycat.

Other Names

  • The two cruise ships' names, Entrance and Exit, are named as such in the sense of "Entrance to paradise" and "Exit from the ordinary" respectively.
  • The casino on Entrance is called Fontana di Trevi.
  • The major movie distributor which will distribute the film Drox and the Walkens are filming is the McDannell Company.
    • Durarara!!x4 spells it 'McDonnell', not 'McDannell', and I believe the F.T. of Vol 12 used 'McDonnell' as well.
    • Naritaverse note: the McDonnell Company has ties to the American Jack-o'-Lantern talent agency whose Japanese branch Max Sandshelt heads in Drrr!!. John Drox has hired Kasuka Heiwajima (Drrr!! character) for quite a few of his films.
  • The film Claudia and Charon are promoting is Shark Flight, sequel to John Drox's Mode Gears movie based off the Mode Gears comic series.
    • Claudia's character is named Aisha, while Charon is the physical stuntman/'actor' for the Gear. Aisha's mother's name is spelled Carrie, not Kari.
  • Claudia's films other mentioned by name:
    • Attack of the Killer Edisons
    • The Wild Dog in the Wind (Angelo's favorite)
  • Czes simply refers to Firo as Firo, not something like 'big brother Firo'.
  • "The world had dubbed her 'Claudia-of-All-Trades," apparently.
  • The twin luxury ships' scheduled meeting event in the Pacific Ocean is referred to as the Crossing, not the Meeting.
  • Claudia calls Firo 'Uncle Firo', but Charon sadly refers to Keith not as 'Uncle Keith' but 'Mr. Keith' in the official TL. Tragic.
  • Claudia also refers to her great-grandparents as Great-Grandmother and Great-Grandfather Felix, which was a bit more formal than I was expecting.
  • Angelo calls Firo 'Firo', not 'Mr. Prochainezo.'
  • The Mask Makers refer to their leader as 'president'.

General Notes

  • I believe the fan TL indicates that the restaurant in Prologue 1 is in the "very south of South America," but the official TL isn't that specific. In other words, there's no indication as to what geographical area of S. America the restaurant is in.
  • The fan TL states that Illness and Death swing from the northeast and northwest sides of the room, but the official TL states they swing from the southeast and northwest sides.
  • Minor tidbit, but the businessmen yell the following to Angelo--"Quit talking like the hero in Contract to Kill!" instead of, "Stop acting like you're Chuck Norris in Hitman!"
  • Re: Angelo's thoughts on the Demolisher--sorry, the 'demolition guy--in Prologue 2: The official TL makes it sound as if the demolition specialist helped out the drug cartel once or twice a year during big conflicts rather than him and Angelo mutually helping each other out a few times.
    • Can I just call him the Demolisher anyway? Thanks.
  • Engel has once again converted metric units into Imperial units:
    • The dimensions of Exit in metric units: length 306m; height 55m; 52m wide
    • The dimensions as given by Engel: full length 1,004 feet; total height 180', total width 171'.
  • Time confusion? Maybe someone can help me out with this: while waiting to board the Entrance, Firo internally notes that Maiza and Czes returned from their search around half a month ago (fan TL says two weeks). In his subsequent flashback to the TV scene and Czes returning later that night, he remembers blurting to Czes, "Well, get this! Just a couple weeks ago, on the day you and Maiza came back..." ...and we soon flash back to the present, two weeks (and one day) later.
    • So...wait, wouldn't it be 4 weeks/a little over a month since the day of Maiza and Czes' return instead of half a month? Maiza & Czes return/Firo befriends photographer -- "couple weeks pass" -- TV day + "let's go on a family trip" -- next day Molsa presents tickets -- "two weeks pass." ????
    • Am I missing something, or did Narita accidentally confuse himself here?
  • I guess we have to assume Firo/Narita meant to say 'a month ago' rather than 'half a month ago', given the two weeks -> [family trip decision -> two weeks apparent sequence of events. However, does that conflict with anything else we know about the timeline? Maiza stops to visit Begg in NJ in Aug 2002 when he and Czes are on their way back to NY, so the day of their return/Firo befriending photographer must have also happened in August. But the Entrance is also departing in August, so...
  • So...maybe Maiza and Czes returned at the very beginning of August, and Entrance is departing at its tail end? That might work. Actually it sounds pretty likely when one remembers the mastermind is trying to recreate the Flying Pussyfoot incident.
  • I guess the alternative is Narita did mean half a month and only mean for two weeks to pass between the trip proposition and departure, but that would mean Maiza and Czes came back shortly before the trip proposition...so...moving on...
  • The official TL phrases a line as "many of [Felix Walken's] children and grandchildren] rather than "[Claire's[ descendants," so I guess it's confirmed Claire had more than one kid.
  • The amount of chips Firo garners while gambling is worth a hundred thousand dollars.
  • The official TL specifies that the mansion in Illness' flashback to when she was nine-years-old is "European-style," though I guess this info doesn't actually help narrow down the location.
  • Claudia's declaration to Illness in the fan TL, "If you need to kill someone, I'll kill them for you," is different in the official TL: "When it's time to kill you, I'll do it myself."

MISC

  • It probably goes without saying that Misao's (and Firo's) photographer friend lives next to Mikado from Drrr!!, right?
  • For those who might not have caught it or realized, Firo's offhand mention of how he and Luck once crushed a syndicate in Mexico over fifty years ago is a reference to the plot of the second audio drama *Firo Prochainezo Witnesses the 53rd Death of Pietro Gonzalez, which takes place in Summer 1936.
  • This isn't so much a release note as it is an idle observation I had while reading the official TL... Illness 'justifying' or 'rationalizing' her actions as the result of a sickness/'abnormal self' (even while trying to be 'human') sort of seems opposite to Yakumo's rationalization process in Etsusa Bridge (wherein he's obsessed with normalcy and insists that he is normal and him killing is normal). Anyone else get that sense?
  • "One, yet legion."
Here's the official TL's take on the chanting Illness hears on the phone:
"Death is a neighbor to be feared. Life is kin to be dreaded. Agony abides with light...fury and shame dwell in shadow...in their illustrious presence, I simply...consume a single leaf from the garden..."
Not too many notes this time around, I think. For now I'll just post what I have and not go into quotes I liked a lot since I have things to do and this post is already a couple days late; can always comment with additional personal thoughts later.
Oh, right! Since this is the novel where Claudia and Charon's famous "comic book creator" father is mentioned, I'm going to link to this post I wrote 9 months back in which I conducted a little investigation into where the JP wiki got the name "Clifford Walken" (possibly the dad in question) from. Might be worth checking out if you missed it?
