Guts Casino Review

There are some awful casinos out there. Casinos with horrible software, lackluster bonuses, no games or atrocious support. It takes guts to play at one of these “fine” establishments. You’re asking for a headache the minute you fill out the application and click submit. So why not join a better casino instead; like the one and only Guts Casino?
Now, you won’t hear me say they’re the best UK casino or anything like that. They’re not backed by a publicly traded company and there are some things they could do better. But if you’re looking for a solid casino with hundreds of games, mobile compatibility, generous offers and speedy banking, then Guts.com fits the bill. Don’t take our word for it, though. Read our review below and decide for yourself.

Get FREE Money & FREE Spins

Guts Casino has a couple of promotions running right now. What I like about them is they combine free money with free spins. Their main offer is a €100 bonus with 100 free spins on their Vikings slot machine. This offer has a 30x rollover and will expire after 30 days. It cannot be used for table games, either.
That’s the main offer anyway. There are more promos running in the background up for grabs.

NO SHORTAGE of Games Here

Honestly – any casino could make it by just fine working with only Microgaming. They have hundreds of games. But Guts.com didn’t stop there. They also work with Betsoft, NetEnt, Play’n GO, and a few others. The result? More than 700 games for you to play. And not just more of the same old stuff – there’s a TON of variety of here.
Take a look for yourself at some of the games that you can play at this online casino:
  • Video Slots – Choose from nearly 300+ titles. A few that caught my attention include Game of Thrones, South Park, Superman, Dark Knight and the Osbournes.
  • Classic Slots – Nearly 30 options that include your standard fruit and diamond themes.
  • 3D Slots – Nearly 40 options, mostly thanks to BetSoft. I recommend checking out Madder Scientist, Rockstar, Tycoons, The Slotfather and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.
  • Live Casino – A tad more than 20 live options that include different variations of blackjack, baccarat, casino Holdem and roulette. Keep in mind these are only for real money play.
  • Blackjack – There are 28 different options including live dealer, single deck, Pontoon and Pirate 21.
  • Roulette – More than 10 options including American, European, live and auto.
  • Table Games – Nearly 15 options including Punto Banco, Baccarat, Casino Holdem, Pai Gow, Caribbean Stud and Red Dog Progressive.
  • Video Poker – Only 6 options which include Aces and Eights, Bonus Deuces Wild and Jacks or Better.
  • Jackpots – 29 options which include Mr Vegas and the Dark Knight – my favorites.
  • Other Games – A tad more than 30 options including bingo, lottery games and scratch cards.
No download necessary – everything runs from your browser. They have a mobile casino, too, with more than 100 games. Their mobile casino is compatible with your iOS, Android, BlackBerry or Windows phone or tablet.

You can use any of the following options to fund your account:
  • Visa – 2.5 percent fee
  • MasterCard – 2.5 percent fee
  • Trustly
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • Webmoney
  • PaySafeCard
  • UKash
  • Bank Transfer
The min. deposit is €10 and the max is €5,000.
To cash out you can use:
  • Visa
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • Webmoney
  • Bank Transfer
The min. cash out is €20 and the max is €10,000. Each one will cost you €2.50. The fees suck, but what makes up for it (kind of) is that Guts tries to process all withdrawals within 2 hours of your request. That’s pretty much unheard of in this industry.

Should You Check Them Out?

We give Guts Casino an A-. If they fixed the issues I pointed out above (the fees and non-existent table game bonus), I’d have no problem giving them an A …maybe an A+. You just can’t go wrong with their massive game selection – for both the web and mobile users. Sorry, US players, looks like you’re missing out again. Everyone else – check out Guts Casino.

LOW RISK CASINO - BEST STARTING SITES - MATCHED BETTING

Recently saw a post about casino offers, so thought I’d share best tips for starting out on casino offers. There are plenty of cash back ones that are rolled out periodically, but these 6 casinos are the best ones for starting out. All have the same sign up offer.
RAINBOW RICHES CASINO, JACKPOT JOY, HEART BINGO, VIRGIN GAMES, STARSPINS, MONOPOLY CASINO.
All of the above have a welcome offer of wager £10 on any game, and receive 30 free spins.
There are a number of strategies you can use to extract value from these, though I will explain what I believe to be the best two options.
STEP ONE - SIGNUP
Those of you with matched betting experience will know that it is important to opt in to all marketing channels in order to receive reload offers. With these sites this is no exception, however DO NOT opt in upon signup. The reason for this is that when you next log in you will then be prompted to opt in to marketing with the reward of a ‘box bonanza’. These box bonanzas are an important part of the sign up, and I will explain them in more detail later, but in essence they are free cash. For opting in you will likely receive between 40p and £2.
STEP TWO - £10 wager.
There are two options for this. Low stake spins on slots, or low risk wagering on blackjack. I approach this offer by doing 20p spins on either Sausage Party, King Kong Cash or The Goonies. The reason for this slot choice is because they are medium variance with a 96+ percent RTP. The likelihood is that across the 6 sites you will be up on a few and potentially down on a few, but the bonus of wagering on slots is that there is a chance of hitting larger profits if you hit a nice bonus within your 300 spins across the sites. Alternatively you can wager the £10 on blackjack using this strategy, which won’t have any chance of ‘winning big’ but will leave you with maximum retention of your deposit.
STEP THREE - 30 free spins.
There is no strategy for these, just play them and enjoy any winnings.
STEP FOUR - Box bonanzas
Now is the stage where many think this welcome offer is over, but the reason I recommend these sites so highly is because of their extended welcome offer. I previously mentioned box bonanzas, and we will earn another on every site when we wager £5 for the next two days on each website. This box bonanza tends to be valued anywhere from £5 to £20, and is where a majority of the value of the offer lies.
As mentioned before there are two approaches to wagering, but the reason I prefer slots (particularly for this offer specifically) is because in total we will wager £20 per site. (£10 for the initial sign up, 2 x £5 for the bonanzas). This means 100 spins per site at 20p, and 600 spins in total. The odds are in your favour to hit multiple bonuses and features during this time, and if you do lose money in the slots you will earn it back through the bonanzas.
I’ve never lost money on this sign up, and it can be a great way to build funds to start low risk casino offers, which have humongous potential. I’ve completed a ton of offers and am thousands up, so I cannot recommend this side of matched betting enough.

Guts Casino has a couple of promotions running right now. What I like about them is they combine free money with free spins. Their main offer is a €100 bonus with 100 free spins on their Vikings slot machine. This offer has a 30x rollover and will expire after 30 days. It cannot be used for table games, either.

Fun Games to Play at Guts Casino
  • Table Games – Nearly 15 options including Punto Banco, Baccarat, Casino Holdem, Pai Gow,Caribbean Stud and Red Dog Progressive.

Funding Your Account

Dissatisfied with the battle pass and want Valve to listen? Don't upgrade it.

Valve stealthily added some shady practices in the new battle pass system, different from past years

The average consumer has some expectations due to the "Battle Pass" brand

What is different in this year's battle pass:

Valve is hustling hard into scumbag territory, but we as a community can protest with our wallet.
We can simply not buy the levels, or not as many, and Valve will listen to the graphs
If we as a community are ok with this, they will continue this trend in the future.
(Note: This is not Valve's fault, their business/marketing department is just doing their job)

Questions and Answers from my GTA Online money making guide.

I recommend looking at my GTA Online guides first before reading this Q&A.
Well set players: https://www.reddit.com/usexInfected_Virus/comments/epd9w4/solo_money_making_guide_for_new_and_well_set/
New players: https://www.reddit.com/usexInfected_Virus/comments/epdbs2/solo_money_making_guide_for_new_players/

Questions and Answers.

Q: Don't they have plenty of other guides like this on the GTA Online Mega Guide Thread?
A: This guide combines VIP work Headhunter, Special cargo, Vehicle cargo, Bunker, MC Businesses, Nightclub, Terrorbyte and Arcade with Master Control Terminal in one guide assuming everyone has those businesses. The Mega Guide thread definitely helped me make this this guide with me putting links of more additional in depth tips from threads on the mega guide on how to do special cargo missions, vehicle cargo missions, Bunker, MC Businesses and Nightclub. I also posted the Mega Guide link twice in this guide for more in depth info and more in depth tips such as the original heist guide for newer players.
Not many people know how to do the Biker business solo thus why they're giving up on it so that's one of many reasons why I'm making my own guide. I would love it if the mods put this guide on the GTA Online Mega Guide thread so it can get more attention and help other players. Also some but not all of the poor to rich type guides are outdated e.g no golden revolver headshot challenge or Maude's bounties with stone hatchet challenges that earn $250,000 upon each completion yet but they still give good information on how to get started so still look at those guides when in doubt. I'm looking to offer something new in 2020.
Q: What links did you use from the GTA Online Mega Guide Thread?
A: The main guide itself of course. https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/8xvpow/the_gta_online_mega_guide/
https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/5tzgfk/guide_for_vehicle_cargo_imports/

Not sure this is from the Mega Guide but I'll link it anyways. https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/95crke/nightclub_profit_and_popularity_guide_not/
Q: Why doesn't this guide include the Hanger Business?
A: Because the Hanger business is designed to have multiple players in your CEO organization and collecting crates solo can take up to 10 minutes and you only make $10,000 per crate while you can be making $22,000 in three minutes doing Headhunter or $31,000 in three or four minutes doing Terrorbyte missions Diamond Shopping, Targeted Data and Robbery in Progress.
Q: I'm broke but I have all the businesses the main guide requires including a fully upgraded bunker or MC Businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash) and Nightclub with all upgrades and technicians.
A: Follow the steps on the main guide as normal and you should be all good.
Q: Why not do the Doomsday Heist instead for newer players?
A: The facility is expensive around two million dollars for one in a decent location whereas a high end apartment for original heist only costs $200,000 and you can get around $2,000,000-2,500,000 million after finishing the original heist assuming you got all the extra bonuses and done all of them on hard with having 55% cut on the last four finales and 60% cut on the Fleeca finale. Doomsday heist missions are also hard because of the insane accuracy of the enemy NPCs which will require plenty of resets such as starting the current setup or finale. So paying two million for a facility isn't recommended for newer players.
Q: Why no glitches such as vehicle dupes or Act 2 finale replay?
A: This guide is for players both new and well set who want to earn money legitimately. Money glitching may get you banned and reset so I don't want players to risk losing their hard work and progress.
Q: Does this guide have any glitches?
A: Mostly no except changing your MTU on console or suspending the task manager on PC to get into solo public lobbies to avoid griefers. Other than that; no.
Q: I bought the Criminal Enterprise starter pack and got a free Bunker in Paleto Bay, should I get it?
A: Despite the Paleto Bay Bunker being free it's still a big NO. This is because the sale to Los Santos is a very long drive which takes time to get to the destination. Also most resupply missions take place in Los Santos so it's a very long drive the get the supplies back to the Paleto Bay Bunker.
If not in a solo public lobby, there's a high chance a griefer can come after you on the exposed highway. Your much better off saving up for a Bunker in Farmhouse or Chumash since they're closer to the city.
Q: Speaking of Criminal Enterprise Starter pack; should I get it and if I do get it what should I do?
A: No; it's not worth spending real life money on the Criminal Enterprise Starter pack.
But if you do get it it already has a free CEO Office, MC Clubhouse in Great Chapparal and a Counterfeit Cash business in Grand Senora Desert. Since you have free $1,000,000 then buy a high end apartment in Del Perro and start the original Heist. Scroll up and follow the "My Guide To Get Rich For New Players" for more.
Q: I'm rank 25 but the host keeps kicking me out of their Heist finales or setups before it even begins, why is that?
A: Because they don't trust lower ranked players from finishing the heist because they have a bad experience from lower level players not knowing what to do or constantly dying thus spending plenty of times of constant resetting if a low level player keep failing or dying so they're not even going to bother with them and kick them out in a heartbeat.
Q: Wanted level won't go away at the Prison Break finale after everyone boards the plane even flying for hours still won't get rid of your wanted level?
A: I think it's glitched due to bad connection that if a person already has their wanted level flashing away and the person with bad connection still has their wanted level thus everyone still gets the five star wanted level. If that's the case then reset the finale, if still doesn't work then change roles and if it still doesn't fix it; your going to need a new crew preferably get players who are in your country or continent for better connection since they're in the same regional servers.
Q: I lost too much money while doing the Pacific Standard Heist?
A: Restart the Heist.
Q: How do I destroy all 10 Duggan shipments and should I even bother destroying them?
A: You need a Buzzard to destroy all of them on time. With enemies on boats and helicopters, fly behind them and spam rockets and they should be destroyed. Buzzard is quick enough to get from one end of the map to another. Hunter or Akuka also works as well if not better.
Yes you should destroy them especially doing the aggressive approach because the guards have armour and helmets that they take so much bullets to kill via headshot. On top of that, they also have and assault shotgun which shreds through your health in an instant. Destroying all of them means the guards won't have any armour, helmets and they'll only be equipped with a pistol.
Q: When should I start buying other properties such as a Doomsday Facility, Casino Penthouse and Hanger. Also when should I start buying vehicles such as weaponized vehicles, planes and supercars?
A: Once you have all the businesses required for this guide and you follow the steps everyday so you can save up on whatever you want to buy.
Q: Now that you mentioned the Casino Penthouse, should I get it so I can do the Casino Penthouse missions.
A: No, because the basic model costs $1,500,000 and the max payout assuming you finish all six missions is approximately $1,100,000 dollars. Only get it if you can do most of the steps on the main "Well set" guide.
Q: I read the main "Well Set" guide already and know what to do. I want to get my friend who's new to the game to make easy money, how much will they make?
A: Assuming your doing Step 1 Import/Export Method. Terrorbyte mission pays them $31,000 with Headhunter $21,000 and another Terrorbyte mission $31,000. They gain also $5,000 per fifteen minutes with additional $500 per successful source mission (crates or vehicle cargo) and $10,000 per sell mission. They'll make approximately $100,000 per cycle or approximately $300,000 per hour just for helping. They lose $250 per fifteen minutes though if the CEO dies.
Once you move to Step 3 Selling Bunker and MC Businesses; the associate will get 10% of the sale capping at $30,000 on top of the extra $1,000-5,000 bonus per successful mission. Best to sell Bunker as MC so your associate can get $21,000 instead of $10,000 per successful sell mission (assuming you only bought one supply batch and your Bunker is fully upgraded).
I maybe wrong on this though, if so then let me know.
Q. Is the Buzzard better than the Oppressor MK II for grinding and why should I get the Buzzard before the MK II Oppressor?
A: Overall as a grinder vehicle, I'd stick with the Buzzard because it can be consistently spawned using the CEO Interaction menu to spawn vehicles. The MK II Oppressor has a five minute cooldown after it gets destroyed or you returned it to storage and plus it remains at the location where you have picked up the vehicle cargo while doing source vehicle mission or on crate missions where all the crates is in a vehicle thus you have to leave the MK II Oppressor at the location. With the Buzzard you can easily spawn another.
The reason why you should get the Buzzard first is because it's cheaper and already comes with homing missiles whereas the MK II Oppressor costs more and you require the Terrorbyte to install the homing missiles which are limited to 20 and already costs a lot on top of needing to own a Nightclub which you need in order to purchase the Terrorbyte. I recommend getting the MK II Oppressor once your well set.
I know some will disagree with me here but personally I still use the Buzzard more than the Oppressor MK II for grinding with the Oppressor MK II being used for some missions and as a supplement grinding vehicle with it's better missiles and being easier to land in tight places.
Q. Why should I buy supplies for the Bunker and MC Businesses, isn't it more worth it to steal since your not paying $75,000 to purchase supplies?
A: Depends if it has upgrades or not. If it has full upgrades then it's not worth stealing because you can be doing other things such as doing Step 1 Import/Export guide while your businesses makes product in the background. Doing Step 1 I/E method makes more than enough money to pay off the supplies. You can also easily make money back by sourcing and selling vehicle cargo after you sell product from an MC Business or Bunker.
If it has one upgrade, steal supplies until you have three bars or 60% of the supply bar is filled and buy the rest.
If it has no upgrades then yes, I suggest stealing until the supply bar is full to make maximum profits.
Q: Should I get security upgrades on the Bunker, MC Businesses and Nightclub?
A: For Bunker and MC Businesses no. With Bunker if you stay under 50% of product you shouldn't be raided since buying one full supply batch gives you 20% of product. With the MC Businesses, make sure to register inside the MC Business and disband immediately after selling to prevent getting raided. For the Nightclub yes because there's less chance of getting raided. I have the security upgrade on the Nightclub and done the AFK method several times and not one time did I get raided, just make sure your not registered as a CEO or MC President while AFK.
Q: Why do the Steps have "Repeat 1-5 or 1-8" instead of "Repeat steps 1-5 or steps 1-8"?
A: To make it clearer so people don't get confused from "repeat steps 1-7" which some people will think but there's no step six or seven. Most people shouldn't get confused though but I want to make this guide as clear as possible so no one gets confused.
Q: Is it worth doing Nightclub popularity mission to keep your Nightclub popularity full?
A: No since the missions are pretty long and your much better off switching DJs every 90 minutes to prevent losing popularity and get back to what your doing quickly.
Q: Is selling two Post OP Van missions possible while selling the MC Businesses from Los Santos?
A: Yes if your quick and if your Coke, Meth and Cash is NOT in Elysian Island or Terminal because it'll be much harder or impossible to sell two Post Op Vans. Make sure the Coke, Meth and Cash is in northern Los Santos if you already bought those Los Santos locations.
Q: About the MC Businesses, I bought the ones in Paleto Bay or Elysian Island/Terminal, also my Bunker is in Paleto Bay or in a location other than Farmhouse of Chumash; should I move my MC Businesses to Sandy Shores/Grand Senora Desert and my Bunker to Farmhouse or Chumash?
A: Yes, if you have the money to do so because you have to re-buy the upgrades once you change locations although you get half on what you spent on the location back unless you got the Paleto Bay Bunker through the Criminal Enterprise Starter pack, which in that case, you can't get any rebates from moving to a different location.
Q: Other than MC Businesses and Bunker should I move my other businesses and Bunker away from Paleto Bay?
A: Yes again, since most missions take place in Los Santos. Don't be tempted to get the free arcade in Paleto Bay if your a Twitch Prime subscriber, instead buy one of the locations in Los Santos. With the facility, this is entirely up to you if you want to move.
Q: Ok but why should I NOT buy a business in Paleto Bay?
A: Because most of the resupply missions for the MC Businesses, Bunker and Arcade/Casino Heist setups take place in Los Santos and it's a long drive or flight back to those businesses. You might be lucky and a resupply mission takes place in Paleto Bay but overall it's not worth it. Also sell missions are very far from Los Santos should you choose to sell remote and unnecessary amount of time is being wasted in trying to get back to collect another vehicle while you already reached that second vehicle if you sell from the Sandy Shores businesses.
If your not in a solo public lobby, there's a higher chance griefers can come after you and destroy your product since your open on the highway and your most likely not even half way to your destinations when you could've arrived their if you sold from the Sandy Shores MC Business or Farmhouse/Chumash Bunker.
I think I mentioned something like this in an earlier question above.
Q: I want to move my Bunker, MC Business and Arcade out of Paleto Bay but don't have the required funds yet although I'm more than willing to re-buy upgrades for them. How do I still do solo sell missions from Paleto Bay.
A: With the MC Businesses assuming you have the upgrades, sell in the Blaine County area. With the Bunker sell remote to Los Santos as normal but make sure your in a solo public or peaceful grinder lobby to avoid being griefed. Still buy supplies though since you still make a profit (except on the Document Forgery) if they have full upgrades. Half upgraded, steal until three bars and no upgrades steal until bar is full. Good luck with the long drive back from Los Santos.
Q: Why do players buy businesses in Paleto Bay anyways?
A: Because players get duped in buying the cheapest location for the Bunker and the Arcade. Another reason I hear is because to get away from other players and tryhards/griefers, you can go into a solo public lobby to fix this problem. Don't be tempted at any costs in getting a Paleto Bay business.
Personally, I have a medium house with a six car garage there only because I have plenty of money and only wanted a property in Paleto Bay just for the sake of it.
Q: A majority of players suggest getting the Farmhouse or Chumash Bunker but which one of those two should I get since I know they're both closest to the city. I'm torn apart on what to choose from?
A: This is a hard choice to be honest, I can see why many people suggest since they're closest to the city and both are next to a freeway. Since the guide suggest buying supplies, you'll be doing sell missions most of the time.
Here are the sell missions you get and which location is best for which missions. Feel free to disagree with me here, this is from my experience from doing Bunker sell missions.
I maybe missing some missions though so let me know which ones I missed.
Price.
Which one should I get?: Personally I'd go with the Farmhouse but it's a bit more expensive than the Chumash which is another great location.
Q: A griefer is coming after me or the vehicle carrying the product got stuck and there's literally no way to get it out or the plane drop mission is glitched thus making it impossible to drop cargo and finish the sell mission, because I spent lots of money buying or lots of time collecting supplies, what should I do?
A: Close the application if on PS4 or dashboard if on Xbox One or find a new session on all platforms. You only lose ten percent of product but at least all that time or money isn't wasted and you get to keep most of the product.
Q: Should I sell in a populated lobby?
A: Yes but only if your certain the other players there are peaceful otherwise a griefer may come after your cargo. Make sure your in a grinding lobby just to be safe.
Q: I have three other players with me in my organization, I know how Step 1 I/E Method works but how should I do the cycle?
A: Instead of selling the car, source the vehicle instead until you have four top range vehicles stored in your warehouse and repeat the cycle since there's a twenty minute cooldown per vehicle sold in one go, so since you sold four vehicles, you'll have a one hour cooldown.
Q: Is selling a full 111 crate warehouse possible solo?
A: Yes, I've sold 111 crates several times solo no problem. The only problem I had was the plane mission with the enemy Buzzard and Valkyrie variant. All I did on that mission is get in the Titan, scout the area with a Buzzard or Hydra, destroy the enemy NPCs, drop the crates off and done. Three Brickades and one tug boat sales are very easy to do.
Q: Should I get the vehicle upgrades for selling the crate warehouse missions?
A: Armour upgrades don't provide extra protection from rockets fired from griefers in MK Oppressor but it may provide extra protection from enemy NPC bullets and explosive rockets from Hydra or Lazer. Bulletproof tyres are useful on the Brickade and speed upgrade is useful on the Tug. Jammer upgrade is near useless on the plane especially if your in a solo public lobby.
The upgrades worth getting are the speed upgrade on the Tug and bulletproof tyres on the Brickade.
So should you get upgrades?: Up to you really.
Q: You mentioned buying supplies from the Master Control Terminal from the Arcade but should I sell my product from there though?
A: No because you have to go all the way to the business your selling from which wastes some sell time just trying to get there. Your much better off selling from the actual business location because the sell vehicle is right there most of the time.
However, not all vehicles spawn at the business location such the Dinghy boat, Dodo plane or Buzzard for the MC Businesses and the Tug and Plane for the crate sell missions. The sell vehicles for the Bunker are always located next to the Bunker, the sell vehicle for the Nightclub is always located next to the Nightclub. You still need to actually go to the vehicle warehouse to sell a car though.
Q: Why do you suggest using the Bati 801RR, isn't it the exact the same as the Bati 801?
A: The Bati 801RR actually has better acceleration than the Bati 801 but they still share the exact same handling and top speed.
Q: Did you have any help while making this guide?
A: A little bit from Youtubers and some threads from the Mega Guide, other Reddit posts and the GTA Forums but I mostly made it with my experience in grinding the businesses. Also the tips I post are mainly from my experience in selling.
Q: Who does this guide cater to?
A: Players who are new or well set.

Combine betting and casino games at Bet365

Bet365 has emerged as one of the online gambling companies that offers equal opportunities to win for both poker players and sports fans. Now that the casino section is gaining a lot of traction, it comes as no surprise that one of their latest promotions is covering a broad spectrum of gambling products. Those who enjoy playing slot machines and also wager on Champions League fixtures are eligible for a bonus of €300. The most important European competition is approaching the end of the group stage, which means that the best 16 teams will advance to the elimination round. In order to properly mark the moment, those who have an account here are invited to use the CHAMP promotional code when depositing an amount of €25 or above. The money is supposed to be transferred to the casino section before the end of the month to collect a bonus of 30%. It goes without saying that in order to collect the maximum possible amount of €300, players will have to commit a significant sum of €1000. On the bright side, you can use the money to play casino games and then wager on the Champions League games, after meeting the wagering requirements. It is vital to use the promotional code when funding your real money account and also to play through the combined amount within the next 30 days. The bonuses themselves can be used no later than seven days after being issued and after the deadline, both the bonuses and the corresponding profits will be sequestered by the bookmaker. The good news is that all games available at Bet365 can be played without any restrictions whatsoever, so players enjoy unlimited freedom. There is also a downside that prospective customers should be aware of, as not all these titles have the same state percent contribution. This is something that applies to all casino promotions at Bet365 and most members are aware of the fact that slot machines contributions for 100%. Red Dog, Spin-a-Win and Stravaganza are only half as effective, while all table games including baccarat, blackjack and craps will count for 25%. The number is further decreased for those who are big fans of video poker and won't play anything else, as these will take 10 times longer than slot machines to redeem the bonus.

By Request: IAmA former Slot Machine Technician, AMA

This is in response to this thread: http://www.reddit.com/IAmA/comments/os8xb/iama_request_casino_slotmachine_technician_o
I will post verification after I eat dinner, I am just now leaving work. I will also post a quite technical explanation of how slot machines work when I get settled down at home. For now, this link will have to do (I wrote this a couple years ago): http://fatboy.geekside.com/misc/slotmachine.php
I worked at a casino in Indiana, not Las Vegas, but most of the slot machines you'd find in Vegas, you'd find at the casino I worked at as well.
Answers to the original questions: 1) It's completely random, though there is a minimum theoretical payback percentage of 80% according to Indiana State Gaming Commission (note: Theoretical is not equal to actual). Yes, some games are programmed to "hit" more than others, but that's only a theoretical percentage that changes, forcing a hit frequency is illegal according to the state.
2) No, but technically the theoretical percentage changes when you have networked progressive machines, but I will expand on this later when I get home.
3) See answer 1.
4) Some machines have bonus games where you can set the theoretical percentage, some are just included with the game's overall percentage. This will also be covered more in depth later.
5) No, slot machines are all based off math. I hate sounding like a broken record, but I will expand on this as well when I get back home.
Please, ask me literally anything. I've seen / heard some crazy stories at the small casino I worked at.
This is a call to any math gurus out there: Some of the math will be pretty involved here, and while I can explain the most of it that I'll be discussing, I wouldn't mind some helping explaining some of it to others who might not understand my interpretations.
Edit: Here is my verification: http://imgur.com/TbB3T
So here comes the technical part of this and it might get a bit lengthy.
Definitions:
Theoretical Percentage: A theoretical value of how much the machine should pay out. This is usually referred to as the "PAR".
Actual PAR: How much the machine actually has paid out. Note: this can not be forced, according to the Indiana State Gaming Regulation (and none that I have heard of, but I'm not a law book either).
Coin In: How much money has been bet, this was derived from old "coin" machines when you still had to put coins into a slot machine. This is not the same as "Bill In" which referrs to the amount in dollars that has been put into the slot machine. A quick explanation: You can put in a $20 bill, and as long as you keep winning money back, you can keep betting more money, that eventually totals over $20. This amount of money is the Coin In.
Physical Reel Stops: Each symbol on the reel is a "stop." Typically due to size ratios most physical reels have 22 symbols (regardless of the width of the reel). If I'm wrong on that number, I apologize, but it's what I seemed to notice (though I might have been inadvertently looking at the same manufacturer).
Virtual Reel Stops: A set of virtual stops that correlate to each physical stop. Say you have this order on a reel: Cherry, 7, diamond, blank, bar. A virtual reel might have 7 cherries in a row, then 2 7's, then 18 diamonds, 12 blanks and 5 bars. So my best way to describe that is imagine a really big physical real with those symbols in that order.
Total Combinations: How many possible combinations can be formed from the virtual reel strips., this is the product of the amount of virtual stops on each reel. If the reel 1 = 30 stops, reel 2 = 54 stops, and reel 3 = 79 stops, then total combinations = 30 x 54 x 79. I've seen some slot machines with total combinations of over 10 million, and only one of those combinations is the "jackpot."
Progressive Machine: The type of slot machine where the jackpot keeps growing (or progressing :P)
PAR sheet: Paytable and Reels. This is a sheet with a table of information about the specific game on the slot machine. Typical information includes Theoretical PAR, hit frequency, total combinations, Physical Reel Stops, Virtual Reel Stops, etc.
Think of a slot machine with a crazy high amount of sides on a die. You can calculate your odds based off how many sides there are total (let's say to keep it simple 100 sides), compared to the total amount of money you could win back from all those sides. If the sides paid a sum of $97.00, and you paid $1 for each roll, you'd get a 97% theoretical payback.
If that was a bit much, try this: Let's play a game. You give me a dollar, I flip a quarter. If it lands on heads I give your dollar back to you; however, if it lands on tails, I get to keep the dollar. I would expect to land on heads 50% of the time, and tails the other 50%. If we played this game 10 times, you would get $5 in return. This has a 50% theoretical payback. As you may know, you could very well land on heads all ten times in a row and get 100% payback, or land on tails and get 0% payback. Multiply that on a much larger scale.
Every press of the spin button is just like a new roll on a die (as in: the past roll does not affect the previous roll).
So wait, since these are virtual reels then how do we know what the symbols correlate to? This answer is quite easy: The spin button tells the computer inside the slot machine that a new spin is happening. The computer picks a random number, that random number is what "combination." This combination is then correlated from virtual reels to physical reels, and the computer (via optical sensors) tell the reels where to stop. The display then shows the player how much money (if any) that virtual combination won, but if you look at the reels, it would still be 2 cherries, or 3 bars, or whatever the winning combination might be.
I apologize if I was a little vague with that, let me know and I will do my best to explain in better terms.
Bonus games: Some of these have their own PAR to be set to, some are just factored into the game's PAR that you set the machine to. Generally bonus games are a cheap way of making the player feel like they won anymore than they would have if they would have kept playing the slot machine regularly.
Progressive machines: These machine will add x% theoretical payout to the overall PAR of the machine, since the "$150,000 jackpot" will add to the overall payout of the machine (albeit only once in a very long while, mathematically anyhow). When you tell the Gaming Jurisdiction the Theoretical PAR of a slot machine, you need to tell them the Game's Theo PAR, the Progressive PAR, and a sum of the two.
The Indiana State Gaming Commission requires the minimum Theoretical PAR to be at 80%, and no greater than 100%.
I am available to answer questions, I will check on this periodically throughout the evening / tomorrow.

Questions and Answers:

Have you ever seen people putting things in the slot machines other than coins? I can imagine some drunk bastards trying to stuff in buttons or something.
These days coin slot machines aren't near as common. I have seen plenty of people put coins into the card readers though, that you use for your player cards. I've also seen cardboard inserted into the bill validator (the machine that accepts your dollar bills), plastic, cigarette box wrappers, chewing gum, you name it. Cleaning trash out of card readers and Bill Validators was a real PITA.
What is the most extreme reaction you have ever witnessed by someone winning/losing? I don't know, really. You generally see excited screams/crying/jumping for winning, and often will see people screaming (angrily) at slot machines when losing, sometimes they punch them, etc. Just think of your typical extremes of excitement and anger, and you have that answer.
Highest amount you have seen someone win/lose? The most I have witnessed that was paid out correctly was only around $150,000. Shelbyville, Indiana is a little city, better referred to as a "podunk town," so they didn't have crazy million dollar jackpots or anything that I can recall (this was 2 years ago so memory might be a little fuzzy here).
Do you gamble? Which machine game is your favorite i.e. video poker, games like Jackpot Party, the 777 machines, etc. I don't gamble often, and if I do it is small amounts ($20-$40). I understand the math well enough to know that if I win I just got lucky. Video Poker is actually unique because the rules state how many decks are used and what hands win what amount, thus you can calculate your percentage on the fly. I generally play slot machines randomly though, a few spins on the higher denominations (as the general rule of thumb is that a higher denom will be set to a higher Theoretical PAR), and if I win some I cash out. I will generally try to win $40-$50 and buy pizza for the group I'm with, because they generally gamble all the money they brought away.
How long have you had this job? I had that job for 2 years.
What is the craziest thing you have ever seen in your casino? Crazy? Probably some of the people and their rituals. Funny? Probably the guy in a motorized wheelchair who backed away from his machine, hit a chair, then flipped the scooter over and fell out. Awesome? Probably the 3 way make out session from girls in the club the casino used to have; or this one girl liked to not wear any underwear and come in wearing a skirt, then anytime a guy walked buy she would uncross her legs then recross them (so if she's sitting right over left, uncross and go left over right).
Have you ever witnessed someone cheating (I'm guessing slots are pretty impossible to cheat on, but just curious). I've witness people try to fake ticket validation (when you cash out of a slot machine you get a dollar bill sized ticket that can be redeemed for cash). I caught that pretty easily though and he got arrested. I have run extensive testing on various machines in the casino (such as the electronic blackjack table) due to such allegations of inaccuracy, but I can assure you, the electronic tables Indiana Live had were pretty legit (this is not advertising, I hated working at that place).
Have you run across any Japanese machines made by Sammy or Aruze/Universal? If so, what are your opinions and insights? I have not. I will say that IGT has some really awesome machines though.
I read that the machines with the best payouts are either in elevated areas or near main lobbies, or any place with a lot of traffic. The idea behind this was that the casino wants you to see people winning. Conversely, the machines near the table games were said to have lower payouts since the casino doesn't want the table players to complain about too much noise. Do you know if there is any truth to this? Typically at the casino I worked at all of the main lobby areas, entrances, etc. all had a typically lower payout than the same slot machine of the same game. The logic was something to do with when people first get into the casino they don't care about the payout, it's more about the fact they get to play.
The machines around the electronic tables that casino had (they were not allowed to have real cards/chips/games due to Indiana Gaming Regulations for Racing Casinos - "Racinos") were at a significantly lower percentage, but this was not due to noise. The idea behind this was that when people stand in line waiting on a spot for the table to open up, they'll drop a $20 or more into the available machines around the tables. This was the case for all the popular machines as well (such as Wheel of Fortune, Jaws, Wizard of Oz, etc).
Have you or your peers ever encountered or discovered an exploit within a slot machine that allowed for cash to be withdrawed without playing fair or anything of the sort?\Not quite what you are thinking of, no, however there are some instances I can tell you about of incorrect payouts, etc.
1) A progressive jackpot for $100,000+ was hit one night. A Slot Attendant (the supposed-to-be-friendly customer service people that walk around and pay people their money) was getting ready to fill out his Hand Pay slip (if you win $1200+ then you must be paid by the cashier as $1200 is the tax limit in the state of Indiana) and noticed that the combination on the reels was not a winning combination, however, the machine had said he won. I was called to the machine to investigate this issue, upon doing a reel test (where you tell it which symbols to line up and it lines them up as they should be) I noticed that one of the reels was incorrect. The reel strip had been moved by a few symbols away from the "home position." This is generally due to people not putting them on right from the start of the slot machine's life, or an error while cleaning the strips (they do get dust on them after so long, so part of the Preventive Maintenance process was cleaning these with a damp rag). When setting up a slot machine for the first time it must pass rigorous testing from the Gaming Commission, and the test apparently passed then. We checked the log inside the machine and noticed just a couple weeks prior the slot machine had been PM'ed. Needless to say, the customer got paid out anyway.
2) One time a progress for $93,000 hit, pretty much same events as the previous story of how I get called to the machine. Upon reviewing the settings, I see that a second level progressive (which is usually MUCH lower than the highest level progressive) was set to the same amount as the top level, but for a much easier combination (by comparison to the jackpot winning combination) was set to hit it. I found this while the VP of Slots was down investing the issue as well. We again went through the log and found which supervisor and technician had worked on the machine and both of them had actually previously been fired to this event happening. This customer also got paid out without any further issues (though the VP was quite upset that we had to pay the customer $93,000 due to this size of an error). The best part about that error: The casino should have been fined for that, since the machine's PAR was actually a higher percentage than the state was aware, since the game was configured incorrectly. This slipped through the testing process because hitting the 2nd level jackpot award isn't exactly frequent (it had been nearly a year since the machine was setup that way).
3) One way of tampering that I was actually mentioning in my OP (where a guy ended up arrested) was photocopying his higher value tickets (say redeemable for $300+) and then cutting the barcode off and taping it onto a $20 ticket. He then runs this ticket through a slot machine. The machine only reads a barcode, so it was not aware it had been cut and pasted. This genius then decides to take his $300 ticket to the cashier and say "hey this machine won't give me my money for my $300 ticket." I happened to be the tech to receive the call to go open a cash box (which also required a security officer, a Slot Manager, and Bank Manager) to investigate this dispute (I hated doing cash box runs unless they were really heated disputes because you basically stand around with your thumb up your ass; but the heated ones are always fun to watch the Gaming Agents put the unruly guests in their place). Needless to say, I laughed out loud when we pulled the ticket with the cut and pasted barcode out in front of the dude's face (they had previously pulled surveillance footage to see this same guy cashing in the false ticket in a slot machine). They hit him with a few charges.
Can you help explain the mentality behind someone wanting to bet against a computer designed to take your money? I just don't understand the appeal. If I'm gonna gamble why not have fun and play some table games, at least light your money on fire in an exciting way. I truly cannot answer that question. I think it's the excitement that you have a chance to win that much money, and some people convince themselves that they will win it. There are a lot of idiot "Professional Gamblers" out there with outrageous claims.
Which vendor do you hate the most? Ballys, IGT, Williams, Rocket, MGAM, Western Money? Or, all of the above? Wow, out of the list you gave me that's hard to answer. I honestly enjoy the IGT and Bally product. I feel that I knew IGT the best, I got very into learning the various AVP platforms they had (Advanced Video Platform, not Alien Vs Predator). I liked learning the older stuff too (the S2000 which had big ol' EEPROMs).
Bally seemed to be the easiest to work on universally, but that's only because most of the machines were newer, so it's like working on IGT AVP and up machines. The IGT S2000's became pretty easy after awhile, but they took some getting used to. Williams actually used to be with Bally so a lot of their software was very similar, but the layout of the Williams machines just peeved me; for example, to change the "backplane" or "bulkhead" (or 30 other names for this part) in a WMS Bluebird or Bluebird 2 you have to remove a fair amount of components that are in the way. It's just bad design. It was this way for an IGT S2000, but that machine is also really old (whereas a BBU is only a few years old, maybe up to 5 or 6 years old now).
The over all slot manufacturer I disliked the most: Aristocrat. The machines were so inconsistent with operations, the RAM Clear (the equivalent of a reformat) was a PITA until you got the hang of it, and so many themes were developed without proper testing and would be revoked and/or updated like crazy.
The over all company I disliked most due to their technicians: ShuffleMaster. The technicians I interfaced with there knew about as much as my grandmother who doesn't own a computer. Funny story about good ol' ShuffleMaster: Vendor Tech comes in to work on the table. This table has a server and the rest of the stations are clients (pretty simple, right?). As he's working on the server, all the clients pop up a "Not Registered" to the LCD screens of where you put your player reward cards. I inform him that he must have set something wrong otherwise that wouldn't happen (This error means 1 of 4 things set in the options does not match what the main casino's Slot Accounting System's database for that slot machine). He kept assuring me he was reading the instructions and setting them line for line. I end up looking at these instructions and replied "Chris, you're on the wrong page." He threw his arms up telling me to do his job and stormed off to the soda fountain. I despised this guy, and the other 3 dimwits they would send if he couldn't come were just as bad. I feel no remorse for somebody in a technical field who cannot even follow simple directions.
To be fair: I really didn't like most of the technicians I worked with, including Vendor techs. For awhile, we had a bally technician that was quite knowledgeable. I wouldn't call him smart, but he could give me knowledge which would usually end up helping me out. All of the IGT guys except one guy that I got to talk to one time were no better than the ShuffleMaster tech I mentioned. The aristocrat tech actually knew the procedures he was to know, and I suppose he wasn't too bad at troubleshooting, but when it came time to feed knowledge he was horrible at it (so I feel that he was only "good" at his job due to time spent in it, not actual comprehensive ability). The one Konami tech I got to talk to seemed to know what he was talking about, but that was also a one time thing. I just got annoyed pretty quick at the amount of vendor techs I interfaced with that just had no clue what they were doing, but that's going to be prevalent in any industry, not just the casino.
How does the computer equalize the odds? The cold hard truth: it doesn't, and that's why I said to look for a machine that's been paying out over 100% for over a month with thousands of games played for the duration(s) you are checking (that means for whatever reason that game has some sort of error, most cases it would be a set-able jackpot amount (progressive) since games won't just error like that).
The best way to explain how this happens: Think of flipping a coin again. I don't know the exact probability here, but there's a good chance that if we flipped the coin 1,000,000 times that we could see it land on heads 10 times in a row. Now, normally if I were to say "I'll flip this coin 10 times, and it will land on heads everytime" most people would say "No, but the probability is 50/50, so that's not right!" The thing to understand here is: The smaller the sample size, the harder it is to produce consistent results. I don't argue that it might take some time to flip a quarter 10 times, log the results, flip 10 more, log results, etc and have one of those "sessions" be all 10 heads (whereas a sample size of 1,000 flips it might show 10 consecutive heads fairly quick). Anyhow: If you get 100% heads the first 10 flips, then an exact alternating heads/tails the next 999,990 times, the truth is that you'd be awfully close to 50/50 (49.995%/50.005% to be more precise). That is "how slot machines equalize their odds." They don't ever really pay out more the next spin to compensate for losing money from a previous spin. The best way to truly understand slot machines is to understand probabilities.
I'll re-explain my explanation in the OP a bit: We have a 6 sided die. If you land on one, three, or 5 I'll give you $1. if you land on 4 or 5 I'll give you $0, if you land on 6 I'll give you $3.50. This is a total of $5.50. If you were to pay a dollar to roll the die, out of the total combinations (6) you have a possiblity to win (at most) $5.50. If you take (5.5/6) x 100 you will see this is a total of 91.6 repeating percent. We could roll the die 6 times and you might have $0, or you might get $21 ($3.5x6). If we played this game 1 million times though, the probability won't be 91.6666666667 percent but it will be really close.
The slot machines have to past a test of 10,000,000 spins and be within an acceptable threshold of the PAR. I believe the threshold for Indiana is 0.05%; I know this is the case for telling the State's slot machine inventory system (that's not an accurate phrase but the best I could come up with), but not sure if that's the threshold for doing the testing.

Ryan said he has been talking to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell daily. Ryan also was bullish on infrastructure, telling the group that a series of infrastructure bills will be passed by the end of the year. STATEMENTS FROM PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP FROM CAMP DAVID -- @realDonaldTrump at 6:38 a.m.: “The MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN agenda is doing very well despite the distraction of the Witch Hunt. Many new jobs, high business enthusiasm,..” … at 6:46 a.m.: “...massive regulation cuts, 36 new legislative bills signed, great new S.C.Justice, and Infrastructure, Healthcare and Tax Cuts in works!” …at 7:02 a.m.: “The new Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in the 2016 Election, just out with a Trump 50% Approval Rating. That’s higher than O’s #’s!”

TAKE NOTE: Trump had just one surrogate on the Sunday shows: a member of his legal team. Not one Cabinet secretary or adviser talking about policy or politics.
SUNDAY BEST, PART I -- JAY SEKULOW tells CHUCK TODD on NBC’S “MEET THE PRESS” that the president isn’t under investigation -- TODD: “The president tweeted earlier this week, ‘I am being investigated for firing the F.B.I. director by the man who told me to fire the F.B.I. director. Witch hunt.’ So let me start with this. When did the president become aware that he was officially under investigation by the special counsel?” SEKULOW: “The president is not under investigation by the special counsel. The tweet from the president was in response to the five anonymous sources that were purportedly leaking information to The Washington Post about a potential investigation of the president. But the president, as James Comey said in his testimony and as we know as of today, the president has not been and is not under investigation.”
-- MARCO RUBIO to JAKE TAPPER on CNN’s “STATE OF THE UNION” -- TAPPER: “Some of your Senate colleagues, as you know, are concerned that President Trump is preparing to fire Mueller or Mueller and Rosenstein. How would you react if he did?” RUBIO: “Well, first of all, that’s not going to happen. I don’t believe it’s going to happen. And here’s what I would say. The best thing that could happen for the president, and the country, is a full and credible investigation. I really, truly believe that. If we want to put all this behind us, let’s find out what happened, let’s put it out there, and let’s not undermine the credibility of the investigation. And so my view on it is that’s the best thing that could happen for the president and for the country, and I believe ultimately that’s what will happen, irrespective of all the other stuff that’s going on out there.”
-- SEKULOW GETS TESTY under sharp questioning from Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday": "I do not appreciate you putting words in my mouth, when I've been crystal clear that the president is not and has not been under investigation."
SOME HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE PRESIDENT’S WEEK -- MONDAY: Trump has Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela and his wife to the White House. He will participate in an American Technology Council roundtable at 5 p.m. WEDNESDAY: The president is going to Iowa. THURSDAY: The Congressional picnic.
THE BIG SUNDAY READ -- NYT, A1 -- “How Michael Flynn’s Disdain for Limits Led to a Legal Quagmire,” by Nick Confessore, Matt Rosenberg and Danny Hakim: “Mr. Flynn decided that the military’s loss would be his gain: He would parlay his contacts, his disdain for conventional bureaucracy, and his intelligence career battling Al Qaeda into a lucrative business advising cybersecurity firms and other government contractors. Over the next two years he would sign on as a consultant to nearly two dozen companies, while carving out a niche as a sought-after author and speaker -- and ultimately becoming a top adviser to President Trump.
“‘I’ve always had that entrepreneurial spirit,’ Mr. Flynn said in an interview in October 2015. In the military, he added, ‘I learned that following the way you’re supposed to do things isn’t always the way to accomplish a task.’ But instead of lofting him into the upper ranks of Beltway bandits, where some other top soldiers have landed, his foray into consulting has become a legal and political quagmire, driven by the same disdain for boundaries that once propelled his rise in the military.” http://nyti.ms/2sDrCkx
SCALISE UPDATE -- “Hospital says Scalise showing ‘signs of improvement’ after additional surgery,” by Rebecca Morin: “[House] Majority Whip Steve Scalise is showing ‘signs of improvement’ and is ‘speaking with his loved ones’ following an additional surgery, according to an update provided by MedStar Washington Hospital Center on Saturday. The hospital also downgraded his condition from critical to serious.
“‘Congressman Steve Scalise is in serious condition. He underwent another surgery today, but continues to show signs of improvement,’ according to a statement from the hospital, courtesy of the Scalise family. ‘He is more responsive, and is speaking with his loved ones. The Scalise family greatly appreciates the outpouring of thoughts and prayers.’” http://politi.co/2tBoHG5

FROM TYSON LOBBYIST MATT MIKA’S FAMILY: “We want to thank the team at George Washington University Hospital for their world-class care, and we continue to be grateful beyond words for the heroic actions of the U.S. Capitol Police this week. In addition, the positive thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement from across the nation have meant the world to Matt and to all of us.
“Matt has undergone additional surgery and his physicians have reported positive results. Matt will remain in the ICU through at least this weekend. He continues to communicate with us through notes, and even signed the game ball for the Congressional Baseball Game. Matt especially valued the professionalism of the officers of the Capitol Police, and would appreciate contributions to the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, one of the designated charities at Thursday night’s ballgame.
“While we know there will be difficult and challenging days ahead for Matt and our family, the physicians and specialists at Matt’s side expect a full recovery. This will be our final update pending Matt’s discharge from the hospital. We again ask for your understanding and respect of our family’s privacy.”
FOR YOUR RADAR -- “Navy stops search for 7 missing sailors after bodies found,” by AP’s Mari Yamaguchi in Yokosuka, Japan: “The search for seven U.S. Navy sailors missing after their destroyer collided with a container ship off Japan was called off Sunday after several bodies were found in the ship’s flooded compartments, including sleeping quarters. Vice Adm. Joseph Aucoin, the commander of the Navy’s 7th Fleet, described the damage and flooding as extensive, including a big puncture under the waterline. The crew had to fight to keep the ship afloat, he said, and the ship’s captain is lucky to have survived.” http://apne.ws/2sGAXc0
BLAST FROM THE PAST -- KNOWING MARK CORALLO: “Meet the man managing Trump’s biggest crisis yet,” by Eliana Johnson, Josh Dawsey, and Josh Gerstein: “Veteran GOP operative Mark Corallo is known for accepting tough crisis-management cases, but even he wasn’t daredevil enough to accept the job an embattled President Trump considered him for last month: White House communications director. Instead, Corallo chose to stay outside the building, becoming the top spokesman for Trump’s personal lawyer Marc Kasowitz.
“In his new role, he finds himself handling the White House’s defense against independent counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the presidential election, which has expanded to include inquiry into whether Trump himself tried to obstruct the investigation. Corallo had never met Trump or Kasowitz before taking the job but is now routinely in the West Wing several times a week, strategizing with a temperamental and media-obsessed president who sees himself as his own best spokesman.
“‘I think I will be more help to the president on the outside than I would have been on the inside,’ Corallo told POLITICO.” With cameos from Karl Rove, David Ayres and Ed McFaddenhttp://politi.co/2seOZjF
-- FLASHBACK: Corallo speaking to Isaac Dovere in May about Trump staff: “They’re hostages.” http://politi.co/2rKcOMS
SCHUMER’S FIRST BIG TEST -- “Democrats to step up attacks on GOP’s Obamacare repeal effort,” by Burgess Everett: “Democratic senators are planning to hold the Senate floor until at least midnight on Monday to thrash Senate Republicans for refusing to hold committee hearings on their health-care overhaul, according to several people familiar with the plan. The round of speeches is being organized by Sens. Patty Murray of Washington state and Brian Schatz of Hawaii.
“But on the more weighty question of whether to object to the GOP’s committee hearings or refusing to allow routine business in the Senate regarding nomination votes or uncontroversial matters, the party has made no final decision. While the party's liberal wing is demanding that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and his team shut the Senate down, Schumer has made no decision and often tries to forge consensus in his caucus before executing party strategy.
“Though several sources on the party’s left believe Schumer may be open to the idea, Democratic leaders have been resistant to procedural obstruction thus far. They believe blocking unrelated matters could shift the spotlight from Republicans' secretive process to Democratic obstruction. And it could set expectations high among the party's base that Democrats can stop the repeal, when in reality if Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has the votes the party will be powerless to stop him.” http://politi.co/2seOyWF
-- IT’S WORTH NOTING: Since assuming the top Senate leadership job after the 2016 election, Schumer has made it his leadership style to govern by consensus. Depending on how the Obamacare repeal effort plays out, this could be test for how he’ll appease his frustrated left flank while not overplaying his hand.
THE JUICE …
-- Community Catalyst Action Fund is launching a seven-figure TV and radio ad buy targeting Republican senators in Alaska, Maine, Nevada and West Virginia on Obamacare repeal. The TV ads, produced by GMMB, will run for the next two weeks and feature a mother whose son has chronic asthma and requires frequent trips to the doctor. The radio ad, also produced by GMMB, and digital ad component are part of the “Keep Care at Home” campaign, which is focused on Medicaid cuts, and will also include events in each state. THE LATEST IN GEORGIA -- TOO CLOSE TO CALL: “Georgia special election hurtles toward nail-biting finish,” by Steven Shepard: “As the most expensive House race in history rushes toward the finish line Tuesday, the latest public polls are unanimous: The Georgia special election between Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Karen Handel is too close to call. The race for the suburban Atlanta seat, closely watched for clues about the shape of the 2018 midterm elections, appears to be within a few percentage points — with perhaps the slightest edge to Ossoff, the 30-year-old Democrat seeking to wrest away a traditionally Republican seat in the first major election of Donald Trump’s presidency. … The current state of play: Of the six public polls conducted in June, Ossoff leads in five of them — and hits the 50-percent mark in each of the five — with the fifth showing a tie.” http://politi.co/2rt57uY

SUNDAY BEST, PART II -- JOHN DICKERSON speaks to SEN. MARCO RUBIO (R-FLA.) on CBS’S FACE THE NATION -- DICKERSON: “The president has called the investigations a witch hunt. What’s your opinion of that?” RUBIO: “Well, I know he feels very strongly about it. My advice to the president is what I communicated publicly. The way I’ve tried to communicate to everyone on this issue. And that is this. It is in the best interest of the president and the country to have a full investigation. If I were the president, I would be welcoming this investigation. I would ask that it be thorough and completed expeditiously and be very cooperative with it. That’s what ultimately I anticipate they will do. That’s in the best interest of the president. I really believe that. I think it’s in the best interest of our country that we have a full-scale investigation that looks at everything so that we can move forward.”
DICKERSON: “So regardless of what you may think about James Comey’s firing as FBI director, you think it should be investigated?” RUBIO: “Well, I just think it’s important to answer questions. Because otherwise, if people have any doubts, it undermines confidence in our system of government, in our elections, in our leaders. As I said, the best thing that can happen for the president and for America is that we have a full-scale investigation that is credible, that it reaches its conclusion one way or the other so that we can move on. But at the same time be knowledgeable. We have to know everything the Russians did and how they did it so that we can prevent this from happening in the future.”
RUBIO talks with CHUCK TODD on NBC’s “MEET THE PRESS” -- TODD: “The more the administration tries to soften the sanctions in the House, at any point, do you understand, if some people see that as circumstantial evidence in this probe?” RUBIO: “I could understand how some people would make that argument. I could also tell you though that I personally believe that at the core of the resistance is not the president. And I don’t think the president himself has a problem with additional sanctions on Russia. I think the concern actually comes from the State Department and for the following reason: they argue that they are trying to get the Russians to be more cooperative on a number of fronts and that this could set us back. It's a legitimate argument, I’ve thought about it, I don't agree with it. And you saw the majority of my colleagues didn’t agree with it this week.”
POWER PLAYBOOKER – DAVID PETRAEUS to PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff on why Americans should support staying engaged in Afghanistan: “This is a generational struggle. This is not something that is going to be won in a few years. We’re not going to take a hill, plant the flag and go home to a victory parade. We need to be there for the long haul but in a way that’s sustainable. You know we’ve been in Korea for 65-plus years because there’s an important national interest for that. We were in Europe for a very long period of time, still there of course, and actually with a renewed emphasis given Russia’s aggressive actions.” Videohttp://bit.ly/2rF21IN
THE BIG QUESTION AHEAD OF TRUMP’S TECH SUMMIT -- “CEOs Have Access to Trump, but Do They Have Clout?,” by WSJ’s Vanessa Fuhrmans and Peter Nicholas: “When tech industry executives gather at the White House Monday, brainstorming ways to modernize government will be on the agenda. But on display will be President Donald Trump’s evolving relationship with America’s corporate chieftains. Some 300 business leaders have met with Mr. Trump since he took office promising the nation’s top executives a direct line to the Oval Office and a chance to shape economic policy.
“The discussions have helped the president project an image of CEO-in-chief as he awaits a major legislative victory and have given CEOs a voice in initiatives like the administration’s push to expand apprenticeship programs. But corporate leaders are learning about the limits of their clout. Hopes for an overhaul of the corporate-tax code this year are fading, some executives and corporate lobbyists say, as the White House and lawmakers struggle to reach consensus on a plan that could get through Congress. Mr. Trump’s move to quit the Paris climate accord has been a stinging lesson for some that White House face time doesn’t always translate into influence.” http://on.wsj.com/2rEUp8V
WHAT K STREET IS READING -- “Republicans debating remedies for corporate tax avoidance,” by Reuters’ David Morgan: “President Donald Trump and Republican leaders in Congress will soon confront a complex challenge for tax reform: how to limit U.S. corporate tax avoidance schemes that take advantage of low tax rates in foreign countries. Congressional and administration staff have begun to examine options to address profit-shifting schemes that include so-called transfer pricing, earnings stripping and tax inversions. A decision on how to handle these in tax legislation could come before Congress leaves town for its one-week July 4 recess on June 29, officials and lobbyists said.” http://reut.rs/2seHWaU
WAPO’S ABBY PHILLIP -- “Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke rescinds acceptance of Homeland Security post”: “‘Late Friday, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. formally notified Secretary of Homeland Security John F. Kelly that he had rescinded his acceptance of the agency’s offer to join DHS as an assistant secretary,’ said Craig Peterson, an adviser to Clarke. ‘Sheriff Clarke is 100 percent committed to the success of President Trump and believes his skills could be better utilized to promote the president’s agenda in a more aggressive role.’” http://wapo.st/2sDJaNA
MORE ON MEGYN KELLY -- “Unedited Putin Interview Reveals A Missed Opportunity For Megyn Kelly and America,” by Yashar Ali in HuffPost: “As Megyn Kelly and NBC News face a firestorm over her interview with InfoWars’ Alex Jones, unedited footage from her recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin shows a nervous Kelly who asked the authoritarian leader softball questions and failed to hold him accountable on key topics. Most troubling, Kelly devoted precious time in her short interview to a question that led one former CIA Russia analyst to say that it sounded as if Putin had written the question himself.
“In the full, unedited discussion, obtained by HuffPost, Kelly repeatedly fails to interrupt the Russian president while he rambles in his responses. She also asks Putin questions he can easily dispute. The last question Kelly asked Putin, which was not aired, was startling in its pandering. ‘We have been here in St. Petersburg for about a week now. And virtually every person we have met on the street says what they respect about you is they feel that you have returned dignity to Russia, that you’ve returned Russia to a place of respect. You’ve been in the leadership of this country for 17 years now. Has it taken any sort of personal toll on you?’” http://bit.ly/2rsxPwo
MEDIAWATCH -- “The Danger of Ignoring Alex Jones,” by Charles J. Skyes in the NYT: “When Mr. Jones was merely a marginal figure on the paranoid right, the case could plausibly be made that he was better left in obscurity. But now that, at least according to Mr. Jones, the president of the United States has praised him and thanked him for the role he played in his election victory, it’s too late to make that argument. We can’t keep ignoring the fringe. We have to expose it.” http://nyti.ms/2rsZ61q … Charlie Sykes is an MSNBC contributor
